How To Apply
Enrollment is limited and the 2013 deadline for receipt of application, résumé, and $75 application fee is
April 1st. The application fee is applied to the $500 tuition if you are accepted, but will be returned if you are not accepted. You will receive notification of your status by April 15. The remainder of the balance is due upon notification of acceptance into the Institute. All tuition must be received by May 15. If you are accepted but do not attend, the application fee is forfeited.
Tuition does not cover transportation, housing, or meals. Housing information will be provided. Please note, unfortunately public transportation is not available. The student is responsible for obtaining transportation to the sessions and to his/her assigned internship.
Note: Each year the Society of Georgia Archivists awards the
Carroll Hart Scholarship for tuition for the Georgia Archives Institute. This year's deadline for the scholarship application is
April 1st.

The Friends of Georgia Archives and History offers the
Sarah O. Dunaway Scholarship.

Individuals must apply separately to the Georgia Archives Institute and to the organizations for the scholarships. Do not mail the scholarship applications to the Georgia Archives Institute.
The GAI application is available as a PDF form that can be filled out before printing. You will not be able to submit the form electronically as we cannot accept credit card payments at this time. Please print the form and mail it with the application fee to the address listed below.
