How to apply

Tuition for the Institute is $550. Enrollment is limited and the deadline for receipt of application, resume, and $75 application fee is by midnight on March 15. The application fee is applied to the $550 tuition if you are accepted and will be reimbursed if you are not accepted. You will receive notification of your status by April 5. The remainder of the balance is due upon notification of acceptance into the Institute. All tuition must be received by May 1. If you are accepted, but do not attend, the application fee is forfeited.

Tuition does not cover transportation, housing, or meals. Housing information will be provided. Students are responsible for obtaining transportation to the sessions and to their assigned internships. Students must attend all ten days and all classes/activities within those ten days.

IMPORTANT: The application, resume, and the fee must be received by midnight on the day of the deadline. The resume needs to be emailed to georgiaarchivesinstitute@gmail.com. Late applications will not be considered.

Scholarships

A number of organizations offer scholarships for GAI students. Please see the Support page for more information on scholarships. Individuals must apply separately to the Georgia Archives Institute and to the scholarship organizations. Do not send scholarship applications to the Georgia Archives Institute.
